The Track

1. Drivers are not to operate their vehicles under the influence of drugs or alcohol.Alcohol is stricly prohibited from the DORC track premises!
2. Any persons operating a vehicle must do so from the drivers stand area
3. Non DSM radios should have frequency tags attached and drivers should utilize the frequency board to let other drivers know that channel is in use.
4. During events non DSM equipment should be surrendered to race officials unless drivers are participating in an active heat or practice session
5. A frequency clip MUST be used at all times during practice. You will remove the clip from the frequency board and replace it with one bearing your name so officials and other racers know who is currently using the frequency. If you have frequency conflicts during practice times, you must work them out with the other club member (it is not the organizers responsibility during practice).
6. Closed toe shoes should be worn when in track and pit areas
7. Pets/Animals should not be allowed in track area
8. It is the responsibility of club members to clean up after themselves and guests using provided receptacles
9. Nitro fuel must be stored and disposed of in approved containers
10. Guests at the track should remain in spectator areas unless accompanied by a club member
11. Members and guests are responsible for operating their R/C vehicles in a manner which will not cause property damage or bodily harm
12. During race events it is expected that slower moving drivers will yield to faster race leaders. During club level racing and bash sessions it is also important to give new drivers the space necessary to improve their driving skills
13. Safety is paramount and all vehicles operated at the track facility should be equipped with an electronic or mechanical failsafe
14. Children 15 years of age & Under MUST be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian at all times
15. Marshalling after your race is MANDATORY. Should you fail to marshal you will lose your previous qualifier. If you have to race in another class and cannot marshal it is YOUR responsibility to find a stand in.
16. Abuse both physical and verbal WILL NOT BE TOLERATED and WILL result in a ban from DORC for one season (at the track or on the durhamRC Forum). We strive to be a family oriented place to spend the day and encourage all members to remember this
17. Safety is always an issue within our club and we strive to ensure everyone is playing as safely as possible. Under no circumstances are you to cross the track to retrieve your car should it become damaged or flameout. ALWAYS walk to the outside of the track.
18. Driving of vehicles anywhere outside of the track, except the test and tune area is strictly prohibited.

Club Rules

1. Club Members agree to attend an annual meeting at least once a year to discuss club issues and vote for board member positions. this meeting is crucial because it is the opportunity for club members to speak their voice
2. Board members will take on the responsibility of voting on issues/decisions for the club and representing the issues of fellow club members at board meetings
3. All members are asked to help with track maintenance on weekly basis. Track maintenance and regular running of the vehicles on the track, will help produce a better track surface condition for all users.
4. Placing obstacles or jumps on the track surface is acceptable. Modifications to the track itself is prohibited unless voted on by board members.
5. Club members represent D.O.R.C. so it is expected that members condone themselves respectably on and off track. This includes racing at other venues, not sure about the purpose of this paragraph
6. All active members should always try to encourage new drivers/club members to come to the track and become involved with club activities
